The research center of biomedical devices is one of the institute’s 4+2+X key development features. The research center is based on mastering the technology and prospective concept of industry-based biomedical and medical devices to establish clinical applications for biomedical devices through research and development. The research and development platform expands on medical devices and development to assist the restorative materials, methods, and biomaterials in clinical trials. The short-term goal is to integrate the research and development talents in biomedical devices at an institutional level, deepen the research and development, SPARK plan to undergo subsequent counseling, the establishment of biomedical devices research and development cooperation platform, and promote medical device productions and education cooperation as the primary goal. The middle-term goal is to integrate the clinical needs, research and development of biomedical devices, external medical device technology bridge platform, and clinical application, in establishing a research and development domestic-based biomedical devices manufacturers and commercializing products to enter the market. Also, the long-term goal is to bridge the global medical technology and its application in medicine, through the production and utilization of medical materials and devices for industry, academia, and medicine, and as well connect the international medical field to establish a biomedical device industry ecosystem in Shuangho’s B-Base.
We sincerely hope that we can develop a based-production, clinical, and clinical resources of all parties so that the Taipei Medical University Research Center of Biomedical Devices can deeply grow and gradually evolve stronger!
