Measures for the Establishmentof the Medical Equipment Research Center
of Taipei Medical University

Article 1 In order to promote the development of the biomedical equipment industry, promote the integration and effective use of
               research manpower and resources, with a view to accelerating the improvement of the school's research and development
               capabilities, the establishment of the Taipei Medical University Research Center and Management Measures established
               the "Taipei Medical University Student Medical Equipment Research Center", the English name is "TMU Research Center
               of Biomedical Devices", the English name is abbreviated as TMU CBD, and the "Taipei Medical University Research Center
               of Biomedical Devices Establishment Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) have been formulated.

Article 2 The tasks of the center are as follows:

               1. Enhance domestic research and development capabilities in the biomedical equipment industry, and assist in the
                   development and commercialization of school personnel.

               2. Establish procedures for the research, development and commercialization of biomedical equipment products.

               3. Integrate teaching, clinical and industrial resources, carry out biomedical engineering and clinical medical integration,
                   and promote the research translation and commercialization of biomedical equipment products, equipment and systems
                   to facilitate the development of the medical industry.

               4. Accept the entrustment of public and private institutions to carry out industry-university and technical cooperation.

               5. Promotion of research and development related to other biomedical equipment.

Article 3 The center has a director who will coordinate the administrative and research work of the center. The principal shall
                   hire a person who has outstanding research in related fields and has made major contributions to the field.

Article 4 The center may appoint a deputy director as necessary to assist the director in promoting the center's business,
               and may also appoint several researchers and administrative personnel, who are recommended by the director to sign
               the principal for appointment.

Article 5 The center may set up an advisory committee composed of a number of domestic and foreign scholars and experts who
               are signed by the director and the principal to assist in planning and promoting the tasks of the center.

Article 6 The center undertakes research plans, industry-university cooperation, ownership and use of research and development
              
 results, intellectual property authorization and industry feedback, etc., in accordance with the school’s regulations and
              
 relevant government laws.

Article 7 The income and expenditure of the center are based on the principle of self-sufficiency, and regular evaluations of research
               and operational performance should be made.

Article 8 This method shall be announced and implemented after being approved by the school affairs meeting; the same shall apply
              
 when amended.
